최 문 규 / 연세대학교 건축공학과 교수
Moongyu Choi / Professor, Yonsei University
1961년생으로 연세대학교 건축공학과와 동대학원을 졸업하였다. 이후 1991년 콜럼비아 건축대학원을 졸업한후, 도요 이토 건축사사무소에서 근무하였다. 귀국 후에는 한울건축과 시건축에서 실무를 경험하고, 1999년부터 가아건축을 개소하여 운영해 왔으며, 현재 연세대학교 건축공학과 교수로 재직 중이다.
제 11회 베니스 건축 비엔날레 한국관 큐레이터, 제9회 베니스 건축 비엔날레 국제관, 제7회 상파울루 건축 비엔날레, 심천-홍콩 Bi-City 비엔날레에 초청되었고, PA상 2003, AIA 어워드 2004, 한국건축가협회 특별상인 엄덕문 건축상 2005, 한국건축문화대상 2005, 서울사랑시민상 2005, AIA 어워드 2005, 한국건축문화대상 2007, Architectural Record’s Design Vanguard2007를 수상하였다. 대표작으로는 딸기테마파크, 정한숙 기념관, 쌈지길, 독서지도회, 아름드리미디어, 서해문집, 태학사 등이 있다.
Moongyu Choi born in 1961, Received B. Arch from Yonsei University, Master of Engineering from Yonsei Graduate School and Master of Architecture from Columbia University. Worked in Toyo Ito Architects, Hanul Architects and Group See. In 1999 founded Ga.A Architects. Currently he is a professor of architectural engineering at Yonsei University.
Invited the 11th & 9th Venice Biennale, the 7th Sao Paulo International Biennial of Architecture, 2007 Shenzhen and HongKong Bi-City Biennale of Urbanism and Architeture, Awarded 50th Progressive Architecture Award2003 USA, AIA-NY Award2004 USA, Korean Institute of Architects Special Award2005. Korean Institute of Registered Architects Award2005, Seoul Architecture Award2005, AIA Baltimore Award2005, AIA Maryland Award2005, Korean Institute of Registered Architects Award2007, Architectural Record’s Design Vanguard2007.
